Mommy and Me Monday: Classes To Help You Survive

If you’re a mom, then you know that one of the hardest parts of being a mom is feeling like you need to be an expert in everything before your baby arrives. But with classes and programs like Mommy and Me Monday at ChildVenture, you don’t have to worry about being perfect because the teachers are on hand to answer any questions and help guide your child through their first year of life. In this Mommy and Me Monday post, we’ll take a look at all the classes available through our ChildVenture community center in Mountain View.

Yoga

Welcome to Mommy and Me Monday! This week, we’re featuring yoga classes to help you survive. Being a mom is hard work, and sometimes it’s important to take a break and care for yourself. That’s where yoga comes in. Yoga can help you relax and de-stress, and it’s also a great workout. It helps release endorphins that make you feel happy and calm. It’s no wonder that moms love yoga so much. Plus, it doesn’t matter if your little one likes it or not; if they’re old enough to sit up on their own without assistance, they’ll enjoy watching the class with you while perched on your lap or in a sling or carrier.
If your child isn’t old enough yet, don’t worry!

Aerial silks

Monday mornings are rough. The kids are back in school and you’re trying to get back into the swing of things. But don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. Mommy and Me Monday is a chance for you to bond with your little one while getting some exercise. There’s aerial silks on Mondays from 9-10am at a local circus school. Want to try something new? Bring your kid along and join the rest of our mommy family!

Zumba

Looking for a fun and active way to spend time with your little one? Zumba classes are the perfect solution! Mommy and Me Monday Zumba classes are designed to help you get a workout in while spending quality time with your child. The instructor, Donna DeLucia, has been teaching Zumba at her studio in Deer Park since 2008. She is a mother of two and understands how difficult it can be to find family-friendly fitness options that fit into busy schedules. The 45-minute class features various styles of dance such as merengue, cumbia, salsa, cha cha cha, bachata and more. Dancing helps build coordination skills and aids in improving self-esteem by increasing confidence levels.
