Early influences


Dr. Ildaura Murillo-Rohde, PhD, RN, FAAN came from a family of nurses. And teachers on both sides of her family with ties to healthcare education stretching back several generations. And even longer for some. Dr. Murillo-Rohde credited her parents for their support in furthering her education. She is currently a professor at George Mason University School of Nursing & Health Studies and its Director of Hispanic Initiatives; she works actively to improve diversity efforts on campus through programs aimed at recruiting.
